Lexington Woman’s Club 31st Annual Golf Tournament Raises Funds to Prevent Sexual Violence

COLUMBIA, SC – The Lexington Woman’s Club selected Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands as their community partner for the next two years. The Lexington Woman’s Club provides a variety of support for STSM from providing cookies for a community drop in to donating the funds raised from the annual golf tournament held on March 30, 2015.

Sponsorship opportunities are still available for the golf tournament and range from $125-$1,000. Registration for a two person team including a fabulous cocktail party is $160. The tournament takes place at the Country Club of Lexington and starts at 11:30a.m. with Bloody Mary party and shotgun start. Tournament registration includes lunch and a cocktail party awards ceremony at the conclusion of the tournament.

Since 1958, Lexington Woman’s Club has worked to enhance the quality of life for the citizens of Lexington County. Some endeavors include helping with the construction of the community library, providing shelter for broken families and veterans, and The Chris Myer’s Children’s Home.

STSM Executive Director, Ginny Waller, says, “I can’t imagine a better way to transform our community than by preventing sexual violence. We are honored to work with the Lexington Woman’s Club on this project.”
