Engaged Community Leaders Join STSM’s Board

Columbia, South Carolina – Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM) announces the addition of Deborah Billings, Peggy Copulsky, and Jay Hamm to its Board of Directors.  Dr. Debbie Billings is an Assistant Professor at the USC Arnold School of Public Health and chair of the South Carolina Hispanic/Latino Health Coalition.  Peggy Copulsky, LISW-CP, recently returned to her hometown of Newberry, SC and serves as the Director of Behavioral Health Services at Newberry County Memorial Hospital.  Jay Hamm, a registered nurse and graduate of USC with a Masters in Health Administration, has been the Vice-President of Operations at Palmetto Health Richland since early 2009.

Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands (STSM), formerly named Rape Crisis Network, is a private, nonprofit, United Way member agency committed to providing free, direct services to survivors of sexual assault and abuse, including 24-hour crisis hotline, hospital accompaniment, court accompaniment, personal advocacy, individual and group counseling, and education about sexual trauma issues.
