Ari Foster, LMSW

Community Advocate Counselor I

Ari Foster first joined STSM in 2012 as a volunteer advocate before becoming the Underserved Survivor Advocate in August 2015. In October 2019, Ari transitioned to the role of Community Advocate Counselor I. In her role, Ari provides the full range of therapeutic services to include crisis, individual and group counseling for survivors of sexual assault/abuse and their family members using evidenced-based therapy models. She also works to increase accessibility of services to clients in the communities we serve. She is grateful for the opportunity to support and advocate for diverse survivors of sexual assault, as well as to promote collaboration with community partners.
Ari graduated from Winthrop University with a Bachelor of Arts in Sociology and completed her Master of Social Work from The University of Southern California in August 2015. She is a recipient of the President's Volunteer Services Award by The Corporation for National And Community Service. Ari enjoys watching movies, spending time with her family, writing, and listening to music.
