Faith Leaders United to End Sexual Violence

Date/Time:
Saturday, September 17, 2016 - 8:00am

Registration for this training is now closed.

This training includes prevention of child sexual abuse, responding to survivors in pastoral care, and time for reflection and discussion.

This is the fourth in a series of trainings for faith leaders held throughout 2016 and will be held in Lexington County.

Please note: this training is intended for faith leaders. Though all members of the faith community play an important role in ending sexual violence, much of the training information is specific to those in roles of organizational leadership (including clergy and lay leaders). Due to the diversity of the faith organizations and communities present in the Midlands, these roles may be as diverse as head rabbi, assistant pastor, prayer leader, youth leader, education ministry chair, director of pastoral care, principal of a religious school, and more.
