Register here: http://sccadvasa.org/conferences/register-for-events.html for SCCADVASA’s monthly webinar. This month’s webinar focuses on working with survivors who have substance abuse concerns and will take place from 10:00am-11:00am. STSM needs at least two volunteers for Keenan’s Annual Family Fun Day, which is focusing on Creating The Anti-Bully. We will need someone from 9:00am-12:30pm and 12:30pm-4:00pm to staff STSM’s table at this event. STSM offices will be closed on Thursday and Friday, November 24 and 25 for Thanksgiving. Any calls over the long weekend will receive follow up on Monday, November 28.

TIPS and UPDATES

If you have trouble finding shelter for a survivor, please call the hotline and ask the staff member on call for assistance.

Please call the hotline and ask for Anna Walton if your survivor at the hospital or someone with the survivor speaks Spanish.

We have seen an increase in sexual assaults involving physical violence. Please remember that for any medical care outside of the rape kit the survivor will have to fill out an application for SOVA to pay for the treatment.
