Job Title: Bilingual Victim Advocate
Reports To: Director of Crisis Services
Salary Range: $28,000-$30,000 (plus health and life with 401(k) after year one with 3% match)
Qualifications:
Bachelors degree in social work, counseling or related field with at least one year’s experience working in an area related to sexual abuse/assault. Must be fluent in Spanish and English. [Employment is contingent upon passing the Language Proficiency Test at your own expense.] Strong organizational skills, punctuality, cultural competency, professionalism, written and oral communication skills, and computer skills required.
General Summary of Duties:
To enhance and expand comprehensive services for survivors of sexual assault to the underserved rural and Hispanic communities, to include crisis intervention, information and referral, advocacy within the criminal justice systems, and outreach.
Job Expectations:
- Provides crisis intervention to victims of sexual assault and abuse through the crisis line and hospital accompaniment, participating in agency on-call rotation;
- Assists the Crisis Program with follow up, personal and legal advocacy, and crisis intervention for victims, focusing specifically on the Hispanic/Latino and rural communities;
- Provides outreach and information to the Hispanic/Latino and rural communities about sexual assault and abuse and the services available at STSM;
- Represents STSM with numerous organizations serving sexual assault survivors, Hispanic/Latino communities, or rural communities;
- Provides interpretation for Hispanics/Latinos during individual counseling sessions with licensed therapists;
- Creates and implements trainings for social workers, advocates, medical personnel, and law enforcement to provide them an approach that is sensitive to the cultural characteristics of rural populations and the Hispanic/Latino community;
- Creates and implements training for STSM staff on how to best serve Hispanic/Latino and rural communities;
- Prepares monthly reports, quarterly reports, and annual progress reports for funding grant; and
- Ensures grant objectives are met and documented.

Job Title: Office Manager
Reports To: Executive Director
Salary Range: $30,000-$33,500 (plus health and life with 401(k) after 1 year with 3% match)
Qualifications:
Bachelor’s Degree and 4-6 years office management and administration experience/or equivalent combination of education and experience. QuickBooks Accounting Software – minimum of 4 years utilizing QuickBooks to manage accounts payable/accounts receivable and full payroll processing, including quarterly and annual payroll tax returns. Proficiency with Microsoft Excel, Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Word. Grants Management experience a plus.
General Summary of Duties:
Responsible for general office management of Sexual Trauma Services including administrative, financial, and technical responsibilities.
Administrative:
- Coordinates and directs administrative support functions
- Maintains agency records
- Implements office policies and procedures
- Purchases and maintains supplies and equipment
- Handles service contracts and calls
- Provides technical support (phone and computer system) to employees
- Manages internal and external communications
- Maintains staff annual and sick leave records
- Arranges employee and consultant training
Human Resources:
- Prepares and maintains employee and consultant files and forms
- Performs functions of benefits administrator
- Prepares documentation and assists in response to employee claims and reference checks
Financial and Grants Management:
- Prepares and processes payroll, taxes, IRA payments, and payroll tax forms
- Writes all checks and maintains documentation of monthly income and expense transactions
- Tracks financial records through the use of accounting software
- Prepares monthly and quarterly grant requests for payments
- Maintains financial records associated with local restricted funds and Federal and State grants
- Reviews and assesses monthly financial reports and works closely with auditor on yearly audit
- Prepares quarterly revenue and expense projections and monthly cash flow reports as requested
- Reconciles monthly income and expenses through QuickBooks
- Tracks donations, both financial and in-kind
- Assists in fiscal year budget preparations
