Volunteer with STSM

Have you heard about STSM’s volunteers?  Our volunteers respond to survivors at the hospital, educate the community about sexual violence, research cool projects, and do just about anything you can imagine that a rape crisis agency might need.  We would not be able to serve nearly as many survivors without the contributions of our dedicated volunteers.

Why should you join our awesome volunteer team?

Denim Day

On Wednesday, April 25 STSM and many other Midlands businesses will wear jeans for Denim Day.

Meet Volunteer Nova

Sexual Trauma Services of the Midlands had a big week!  You read last week about Sarah who won United Way of the Midland's Community Impact Volunteer of the Year Award.  This week we want to introduce you to Nova.  Nova was presented with the South Carolina Governor's Legacy Award for Volunteerism.  This award is presented annually to a volunteer who has committed at least 15 years of exceptional service to volunteerism.  It is easy to see why Nova won this award!

Meet Volunteer Advocate Sarah Moran

This Thursday STSM will join United Way of the Midlands in presenting Sarah Moran with the Community Impact Volunteer of the Year award.  It's easy to see why Sarah won this award that recognizes volunteers in the Midlands who go above and beyond when you read about her accomplishments!  Sarah was recognized as STSM's Volunteer of the Year in 2010.  Congratulations Sarah!

Sexual Assault Awareness Month

We encourage you to take some time this month to think about your role in preventing and responding to sexual assault.  There are so many opportunities to get involved and to show the community that you want to be part of our work to end sexual violence.
