  Speaker's Bureau

Working through community education
Raising awareness of sexual violence

The Speaker's Bureau program is brand new approach toward public awareness. You can wine and dine with friends, view films never before seen, even enjoy a little coffee and  conversation on a Friday night, and make a difference all at the same time. We are offering camaraderie, concerts, & exhibits in exchange for a few hours every month. We are looking for volunteers to reach out to our community through speaking engagements & community events to promote awareness of sexual violence. There is no need for previous experience or "special knowledge". We will equip you with everything you need. Take advantage of this unique opportunity, it is the key to breaking the cycle of violence.

Please call 790-8208 if you are interested in more information on how to be apart of The Message Tree.

Training: 6 hours of training is required and provided by STS. The minimum age is 18 years old.

The next training will be held January 12th, 2008.

Commitment: A 1-year time commitment is required. Speaker's Bureau volunteers are prepared to provide approximately one presentation a month.
